Enhance your mental health by running for your life. No one is asking you to run a marathon or even a daily 5k right out the gate, start slow and build yourself up. The benefits to hitting pavement far outweigh the negatives. 

Here’s what running can do to enhance and protect your mental health:

  3. allows your body to absorb vitamin D🌞

  4. builds a calm state of mind🤗

  5. aids in sleeping 💤😴

If running isn’t your “thing”, start with walking. There are several Apple and Android apps out there designed to develop a consistent and easy program. Let your regular-pace walk grow into a fast-walk. After your body gets used to it, the brain will begin to seek it out. That’s how habits work, neurologically speaking. The fast-walk will most assuredly become a jog/run. Baby steps will get you there, I promise. Just don’t give up.
